Are you sure he's not skipping and singing a Double Dutch song? :)

Seriously, that is impressive!

One-leg double-unders and he STILL BEATS people in that workout. DB is going to crush the masters if we can keep him from hurting himself between now and then.

DB
"We have done so much with so little for so long,
we are now expected to do anything with nothing."

Or in this case with one foot, one leg and killing double unders! Thanks for inspiring us old guys! :)

I'll never forget Dennis coming back to the warm-up area with a HUGE smile on his face....

"KLOWE!!! I DIDN'T COME IN LAST PLACE and I had to do one-legged double unders! I think I beat two other guys!!!"

It was an awesome and very classic OakieDB moment.

Glad to have been witness to it.

DB, you are such an inspiration. I can't do double-unders on two legs, much less one! Just awesome!

Short sidebar, I was at an event hosted by a friend last night, and one of her guests started asking me about CrossFit. She already seemed somewhat familiar, as in, she didn't ask "What is CrossFit?"; she said, "Oh you CrossFit...what do you like about it and what makes it different from other things you've done?" So I asked her how she knew about CrossFit. She mentioned that one of her good friends follows CrossFit main site and does some of the workouts at the YMCA in Madison. She also said that this friend is looking into getting his own affiliate to set up in Madison, on Hwy 20. I thought that was interesting, and wanted to share. I think it might be really cool to have three affiliates in an affiliate showdown!

That picture along with the story behind it is Crossfit in a nutshell. A new Crossfit "move" is born, a "DB", and DUs can now be renamed "two-footed DBs".

I had to do a few DBSU (Dennis Berry Single Unders) during this week's WOD because I was getting shin splints. I thought of him the entire time and had a smile on my face. Way to represent!

First and foremost I would like to thank everybody for the kind words. It truly means a lot. THANK YOU

I must confess that every time I walked out of that tunnel I just wanted to represent CF Huntsville and do right by this second family of mine. I wore the Big H on my chest with pride and just hoped to show my respect and pay my dues for such a great gym.

The wonderful coaches, trainers, athletes, family members, staff and everybody associated with CF Huntsville is and has been such an inspiration for me. I am so grateful to get to work, coach, serve, train, and be a part of this great community. So thank you all for your motivation.

It truly is an honor to be a part of this gym/community and I hope and pray that I can continue to serve you exceptionally and help us all achieve wellness and elite fitness. Thank you again for this privilege. Train Hard, Train Smart, Train to Survive! OkieDB Out

PS: Russell, KLowe, Jake, Tracey, Mandee, Karen, Tye, Justin, Bryant your performances were phenomenal and motivated me extremely. Great Job and way to represent. Dr. Miller, thanks for keeping me in check. To all other CFHSV athletes that give 100% and then some daily, it is your efforts that encourage us all. Keep on CrossFitting!
