Scaled and went about 80% to taper for McKay Hollow tomorrow.
Josh - I thought this was supposed to be a trail "run", but every time I read the 4 page course description I keep asking myself what have I got myself into and should I have prepared more for adventure race than a trail run. Last will and testament will be finished late tonight...

60 situps anchored
50 1.5 pood kb swings
40 pullups
30 handstand pushups

Good luck to everyone on the handstands. My shoulders were shot by the time I got to 30 HPSUs. Substituted pike pushups and it still took me over 5 minutes to get through them.

Big props to Dave who ran a 5k for the first time since 1981! That's awesome!
AND we had 4 of our recently graduated 101 members show up and knock out that 5k. Keep working hard and the results will be sure to follow!

At the end of last year I had a goal for 2011 to be able to run 3 miles. Once again Crossfit delivers way ahead of expectations. Now I can reset and branch that goal to 10k in distance and shave a bunch of minutes off that 5k time. Step one is learning to follow directions so I can follow the course without having to rerun loops needlessly and double back off that sneaky spur trail up there. :)

this is katherine. we are having a lululemon trunk show on May 10th and we will have all the new spring stuff--including shorts. I met with them last week in Birmingham and they are excited about special ordering items for us so that we will have a wider variety to choose from than there is even at the showroom in bham.
i will post a sign up sheet soon and get sizes so we can order! yay! (also, i just ordered some shorts on ebay...you can always check there though its hard to find them there too!)
Oh, and they gave me some unicorn tears shorts (yes, it sounds like an 80s band but its apparently a pattern!) so they do have those at the showroom if you call and order.
