QOD:
Male- Froning, Holmberg, Smith, Chan, Phillips
Female- Annie T, Kristan, Conzelman, Kinney, Leblanc-bazinet

This is truly pointless. There are so many factors to take into consideration it makes it nearly impossible to predict top finishers with any hope of accuracy.

I like Holmberg, Smith, and Kinney simply because they all have a baseball background and can competently swim.

Put Phillips in there because to be honest I have more respect for that man than just about anyone else I know. He's not a fantastic athlete just hard nosed and the word "quit" isn't in his vocabulary.

There will be one larger man to make the top 5. Nate Schrader has just as good of a chance as Chan.

I threw Conzelman in for the women just because of some inteviews I'v seen with her. I like her attitude.

QOD: Well the ones who I'm rooting for are my hometown boy Brandon Pastorek out of the Midwest, and of course Camille!

Top 5's are hard, with the net being much broader this year and the WODs more creative, I'm thinking the usual suspects aren't shoe-ins and there will be surprises. One really bad event early can put an athlete out of the running for a top 5 spot.

I think for the men Salo and Froning will be right there if they can throw a ball and swim. Harder for me to guess the women, especially again with the ball throwing and swimming. Will be hard to topple Clever, and AnnieT will be in the thick of it too probably, and of course Camille!

Camille really??? Do you really think she can win or is it something else?? She might win the handstand walk, but there are some other gymnasts that might give her a run for her money.

Nate Schrader (gotta go with my SF brother), Rich Froning, Ben Smith, Joshua Bridges, Patrick Burke

Kristan Clever, Annie Thorisdottier, Elyse Umeda, Becky Conzelman, Michelle Kinney

Now in the 60+ Women's Masters I think Linda Berry will take it. Please pray for and cheer her on. Go Aunt Linda! :)

Next year we better have some CFHSV Athletes representing.

I think we should do a CFHSV calendar and have pix like this one in there...or at least work Cole & chains in somehow. ;)

QOD:
Men: Salo, Bridges, Froning, Holmberg, Bailey

Women: Annie, Kristen, Smith, Pamanian, Bazinet

Who knows how it'll actually turn out, that's why we have the events!

I subbed Front Squat for the Power Snatch, and GHD situps for the KB swings due to my shoulder, which feels better today.

Total time was 13:13 with 185# FS for 5 reps, and 10 GHD's, kept the DU's the same.

She's my favorite, maybe not THE favorite. ;) Her height is probably a disadvantage, but I believe she was a multi-sport athlete prior to Crossfit, and might do well hitting the curves they are throwing. Do you really have an aunt in the games? That's awesome. She's my favorite in the Masters then!

If it were based on "something" else I would have included Christy Phillips and Rebecca Voight.

Don't forget, Camille also had the world record for the 100's workout.

So, was that the longest event in CF games history? It took a few of the athletes 50+ minutes, fastest time was in the 30's I think. No surpise on who won knowing his background either.

I'm not sure they could do much worse on the IT aspects of the games so far. Pretty much failing at everything. Live streaming feed, live scoreboard, tweets....

You would have thought that the miserable failure on launching the original games site this year would have taught someone a lesson.

That's understandable. I wonder what the water temp was? I raced a tri a couple years ago at Lake Mead in Vegas and the temp was 51. I had my wetsuit but soon as my head was submerged I couldn't catch my breathe. I had a slight panic attack but calmed down after several minutes of just treading water and finished the race. And I feel very confident swimming long distances in open water, but that experience was scary as hell. I almost cracked. If you can't get yourself back in control, you're toast.

Live streaming to Australia worked fine. They posted a message about disabling something in your video card to stream it better. I've had too much wine to find the message tonight. See you all on Monday I hope.
