Congratulations to CFHSV athlete Paul McCrary for an incredible performance at the 2019 Reebok CrossFit Games! Paul placed 7th WORLDWIDE in the Men's 50-54 division. He represented himself, his family and our CrossFit Huntsville community on the biggest stage in our sport, and he did so in such a way that made us all so proud! Paul is a testament that hard work, unwavering dedication, and a positive attitude and outlook can help us all reach goals that might have once seemed unattainable. He is wonderful person and a fierce competitor. We are grateful to know him, honored to coach him, and so proud of all he has accomplished! Way to go, DUKE!

I agree with Wilma. I looked forward to those updates each evening, including how HEAD COACH was doing. It has been so exciting to follow along on your journey over the past several years, Paul! Congratulations on all of your accomplishments!

I’ve got a picture of Paul after he had been drenched by a downpour while walking from his car to my office. I said “Hold up, let me take a picture of this.” He said sure but asked why. I told him that I have people that I work with who cancel appointments all the time with some fairly unacceptable excuses. But here he is, fighting tooth and nail to keep an appointment. He gave me permission to show that picture to people. I am going to hang that picture next to 3 CrossFit Games jerseys in my office. I want people to see what a winner looks like.

P.S. If you ever want to see what a true champion looks like, I got a video of Paul on an Air Assault Bike at the Games, after being no-repped, going so hard that the wind off the bike parted my hair down the middle.
