Kelly always brought a smiling face and contagious spirit to the WOD's and the gym. I am positive his life mirrored this influence. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole Berger family in this tragic loss.

My heart is heavy for Kelley and everyone that ever knew him. He always seemed to be smiling in the gym....even after he got crushed by a WOD. I have a distinct mental image of him laying on the ground in warehouse #1 gasping and holding back a puke but smiling and happy at the same time. He had a great energy around him and was instantly likable. My heart truly aches that depression took another great person from this Earth.

RIP Kelley.

Russell,
I wish I could have known Kelley, it sounds like he was an inspiring and amazing person to be around…I echo the guys’ comments, everyone competing this past weekend pushed for you and for your brother and we continued to remind them to do so when they felt like they could not go on any longer. My heart goes out to you and everyone who is hurting during this difficult time.

I remember Kelley made me laugh! He had a subtle sense of humor and a sweet smile.
I've lost a brother and its a painful loss. I know that it was truely terrible for my parents to lose one of their children.
My heart hurts for the whole Berger family. My prayer is for peace, even if its hard to understand the loss....IT WILL GET BETTER in time.

love you all, Tracey

Russell, my heart is moved by the loss of your brother. I agree with all the guys that competed this weekend in that we all were thinking of you and your family throughout the entire weekend. You were the very first member of my Crossfit Family that i have grown to love and adore. You have done so much more for me in the last two years than i can express to you in words. I'm know everyone else who has been touched by your life and passion can say the same. If there is anything that i can do to help, please do not hesitate to ask! WE are all here for you. All my love goes out to you and your family during this time of trial and tribulations.

Russell,
I am deeply sorry about your brother.

"But I did not only talk of the future and the veil which was drawn over it. I also mentioned the past; all its joys, and how its light shone even in the present darkness. Again I quoted a poet--to avoid sounding like a preacher myself--who had written, 'Was Du erlebst, kann keine Macht der Welt Dir rauben.' (What you have experienced, no power on earth can take from you.) Not only our experiences, but all we have done, whatever great thoughts we may have had, and all we have suffered, all this is not lost, though it is past; we have brought it into being. Having been is also a kind of being, and perhaps the surest kind."
