0+93 - scaled with 25# bar for OHS and 3 pullups for MUs.
Dennis, you are such an awesome coach!! It was also great being able to judge Jake as he tore through the WOD and, Mandee, you did great, girl. I'd have been so nervous with all those eyes on me and you just tore through it - strong as can be. Way to go on a TOUGH, TOUGH WOD, everyone.

I meant to put this on the blog yesterday but ran out of time before the 4:30 class.
I just wanted to let everyone know that watching you guys hit these workouts over the past 5 weeks has been nothing short of inspiring. Of course everyone loves to see the "firebreathers" that crush these workouts, but what everyone loves more is seeing athletes accomplish something they thought was impossible or die trying.
I have had the fortunate opportunity to see 95% of you attempt all these workouts. Not only did you all attempt them but the attitude in which you did it was nothing short of fearless. That attitude you all have has carried many of you to push your "perceived" limits and realize your true potential.
It's very easy for someone to see a task that is daunting or intimidating and be defeated or quit before they even start. That's not you guys. Everyone looked adversity in the face and gave everything they could right to the very end.
Of course many if not all of you might not be satisfied with the results of your performance but you should all be proud of what you have accomplished. I know all of our trainers are very proud of you and consider it a privelage to be apart of the CFHSV community.
Continue to push your limits every day you walk into the gym and the results will keep coming. Keep up the great work! It's more inspiring to people than you could ever imagine.

I did this with a weighted PVC and strict pushups with no jump (just a stand up and clap between each). Pull/ups instead of MUs.

Come here Forrest and his wife Mendy's perspective on Christian action.
I think Kevin is meeting Jake at Starbucks at 8:30AM. The class is at Trinity United Methodist Church on Airport Road. My class is in Room 191. We start congregating at 8:45. Forrest wiil start his talk at 9:00AM. The class ends at 9:45. The service starts at 10:00 for those that are interested. Feel free to attend and then scoot over to your home church for your own service.
Forrest and Mendy are very inspirational. Hope to see you all there!

BTW, from the book: on Good Friday, they are having a Secret Church simulcast at: Asbury, Jackson Way, Aldersgate, and Rivertree....
I'm going to try to check it out at Rivertree if I can get a ticket...

I did 11.4 today for the second time. Did it Rx'ed on Thursday and hit a brick wall with the OHS (my nemesis) so today I did it scaled, using a weighted PVC pipe and chest to bar pullups. I finished one complete round, which is way better than I expected. I think I went too fast on the burpees at first and wore myself out. I'm inspired by those of you who can keep that pace up for the whole WOD.

thanks to Jake for watching me do the open Friday night...since I cant make it to the regular scheduled classes.
i was super slow, took me like 7:30 to finish the burpees. I blame the diet that Ryan and I started this past Monday bc we just couldn't wait to start this Monday...ugh...i was super tired, no energy, and CRANKY/MEAN...i had only had 5 blocks when I did this wod...not the best idea...ive got to plan my meals out better and I think my speed will increase..plus I had worked all day...
so now that ive made a million excuses...
thanks so much again Jake...
and to everyone else killing these wods, i hope to be there one day with you guys...

However, I'm willing to make a go of it. So if there is a team needing an extra, or two other folks want to make a team, give me a shout.
