Anyone considering or on the fence about the Benchmark Class and performing “AMANDA” as rxd, come on in. If you cannot perform “AMANDA” as rxd, come on in as well. Yes, “AMANDA is a tier 1 WOD, but I can scale it for you. In order to get a muscle up and fairly heavy snatches, you have to practice and build up. So come on in and have a date with “AMANDA.” Train Hard, Train Smart, Train to Survive! OkieDB Out

Made up the 100m sprints and pushups WOD with Larry while the kids were inside (7:51). Then did a scaled Amanda of strict ring pull-ups and 65# squat snatch (had never done them before); thanks to Jake for a little impromptu coaching.

then,
"Amanda" scaled 95# Snatch: 12:57
Only missed 1 MU which was a huge victory for me. The 30 MU for time WOD usually takes me 26 min or so and I'll miss at least half. So it becomes 30 MU and 30 misses. The misses are equal physically and more mentally taxing. Focus on maintaining a false grip and keeping the rings in close seemed to help, Instead of my usual just get up there somehow come hell or high water.
