Question of the Day- What works best for you, diet "challenges", where you try to stay strict for a certain amount of time and then allow yourself to fall off the wagon for a while, or trying to stay consistent at your diet all the time with a little more room for less than favorable foods here and there?

QOD: Consistency
Excerpted from a company email this morning...
"But we can honor our veterans by pausing to remember – not only on this solemn day, but on all the days of the year – their courage and sacrifice."

And a sincere thank you to all of our service members and their families. A recognition that should be expressed every day of the year.

Another question, is anyone having problems pulling up the website on mobile devices? I can't get on the site on my Droid. It was working last week.
Also, Emerald's Cinnamon almonds are AWESOME!

Workout #1
6 rounds:
row 200m
= 33,34,34,35,36,36 {3:28}
Resting 2 minutes before each round
Rest 10 minutes
Workout #2
AMRAP in 10 minutes:
6 front squat @ 60kg
6 kb one arm kb snatch @ 16kg
= 5 rounds
I was spent after the rowing. The RX for the KB snatch was 24kg. It was a bit much for my left shoulder (it fels great, but doesn't have the strength back yet). They didn't have a 20kg kb, so I just went with 16 kg. Tough workout. row sprints suck!

I was super clean for the 6 weeks leading up to the Faction Games and then I fell off the wagon....bad.
Now I just eat clean as much as I can but I don't worry so much about a "time limit". I had people constantly telling me that I didn't need to eat this or I didn't need to drink that...but it is all about quality of life for me. Is it going to kill me to have a beer or a slice of pizza every once in a while? I don't think so.
If I become Nazi like with my food that is when you find me in the corner mumbling and covered in donut glaze with lemon filling on my face and cookie crumbs all around me...and let me tell you...that is NOT a pretty sight to see :)

What your co-worker that's undergone bariatric surgery won't realize is that they are now "untouchables? If you plan on having bariatric surgery, make sure you love your surgeon. Because from now on, no other surgeon will touch you. Your anatomy is all screwed up. Since insurance companies started carte blanche approval of gastric bypass surgery, it's been a cash cow for the few surgeons willing to perform the procedure. For better or worse, the best general surgeons (the one you want when your appendix ruptures) don't perform bariatric surgery and want nothing to do with them. One of those little unfortunate facts they don't put in the pamphlet.
