Made it through round of 10 on snatches but had to leave for an 8am meeting so I had to call it there...of course, I didn't really mind :)

B. 7+6 on "Death by Snatch" Was pretty happy with my "DBS" because I sure didn't think I would get that far at that weight. :)
Love the picture, Gus!

Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift. Matthew 5:23-24

B. 8 Rounds
The biggest issue for me today on the OHS is trying to learn to get the weight over my head. Need to work on that.
First time ever doing a snatch. Needs some work. :)

Snatch 9- should have tried more
So, addressing the "totally could have" part.... Why am I so afraid of heavy lifts? I'm serious, my fear is reminiscent of the first time I stood in line to ride a roller coaster. I cried, pitched a fit really but loved it in the end. And such is my lifts. I find myself beseeching the good Lord for protection all while fighting images of the bar falling on my freaking head or spine or something else important. What tha heck is wrong with me? I'm hoping with time (I started in feb) I'll grow accustomed. The second it feels "heavy" (like I'm gonna drop it heavy) I totally freak and of course, drop it. It just doesn't seem that anyone else around me is afraid at all. If anything, they seem very audacious.
And on a positive note, Marisa was unbelievable this am. She snatched like nothing I've ever seen. You all totally missed quite an inspiring event!

1500m row
bench 75% body weight, 21 reps
1000row
bench 75%, 15 reps
500m row
bench 75%, 9 reps
115# for 21 reps, 95# for the next two rounds, 26:17
And Kristen, don't worry...it will get easier. Just think of it in terms of OHS a 10th grader.
