"Don't aim at success. The more you aim at it and make it a target, the more you are going to miss it. For success, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue, and it only does so as the unintended side effect of one's personal dedication to a cause greater than oneself or as the by-product of one's surrender to a person other than oneself. Happiness must happen, and the same holds for success: you have to let it happen by not caring about it. I want you to listen to what your conscience commands you to do and go on to carry it out to the best of your knowledge. Then you will live to see that in the long-run—in the long-run, I say!—success will follow you precisely because you had forgotten to think about it."

Viktor E. Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning

I've seen you CrossFit Huntsville. I've seen you investing blood, sweat, and tears. Now it's time. It's like CrossFit Christmas. It's our Super Bowl, World Series, and Championship Playoffs. For the next 5 ( or more) weeks there are going to be ups and downs. PR's and "first time" scenarios. Missed lifts and some "no reps." But we can be confident in our performance. Shut our mind off, eliminate the mental clutter, cancel out the outside noise and correct the internal dialogue. Just perform to the standards that we train to on any random WOD on any given day. Don't be affected by the scoreboard. Work your process. Control what is controllable. There is always a price to pay. I see you all year. It's time to pay the bills.

Heath - /hēTH/ - noun

1. The killer of wods of any bias, be it strength, endurance, gymnastics, or weightlifting. The true jack-of-all-trades.

2. A name given to those with muscles far exceeding that of the normal genetic variation allowed.

3. Bad A** Mofo

Don't forget the HEATH Bar - a sweet mix of toffee, butter, chocolate, almonds, and sugar. His mama will tell ya he's as sweet as he is strong.

Heath, what a beast of a man. The only thing more impressive than your raw strength is your work ethic and dedication to getting better at everything. This dude works HARD. It's always inspiring to share a WOD with you.
