Incompetence or simply corruption? Read this story about advertising space at Atlanta's Hartsfield Airport. Promise ... subject sounds dull, but you'll be amazed.

This should be awesome with my JACKED UP back...I really wanted to be able to perform my absolute best the first time I snatched. Hopefully by the end of the day my body will just be numb to the agonizing pain. YAY SNATCH!

115/175 = 290 - PR on the clean and jerk, not sure on the snatch. Snatch was limited by my weak OH squat. 175 C&J was nasty, but I got it up.

140/175 = 315

The c&j wouldn't have counted in a comp and the snatch was ugly. Lots of work on my squat stance is in the future.

Nice pic today. In the immortal words of Apache Chief, “Inyuk-chuk”!!!!! I guess you’d have to be a kid in the early 80’s to get that……

GASP!!! Under the table deals, corruption, lack of accountability in the city of Atlanta? I'm shocked!

Same story different day in ATL. We had to fortune to pay some of the highest per capita property taxes while we lived in ATL due to multiple tax hikes to pay for a crumbling (literally) sewer system. Great thing about that situation is that the federal government allocated and provided the city of ATL a huge amount of money in the late 80's to address and correct the sewer and water problems ATL was facing. Long story short. Corruption, pay-offs, pet projects, etc...etc consumed all of the money. 15 years later the sewer problem and water supply problem reached critical levels. ATL begged the fed for more money. They said no. Hence the gigantic tax hikes for city of ATL residents....and of course the tax hikes were not equally distrubuted amongst it's citizens. You paid taxes in proportion to what the city thought your property was worth....no matter the size of your piece of dirt....even if you used a lesser amount of the public infrastructure. You were penalized for your prosperity. Taken from you via forced taxes and distributed.

Who says socialism does not exist already?

Good Lord Slade, your one weird dude. Those old Super Friends cartoons were a little past my time. Didn't Apache Chief help Peter (Family Guy) put a satellite antenna on the roof.

I am terrified of the snatch after busting up my ankle....so I had never gotten more than the kid bar until tonight.

Never done a clean and jerk before tonight either.

I left pretty excited :)

Pharisees and bureaucrats... haven't changed in 2000 yrs. Socialism doesn't exist? Try not paying those property taxes and see who really owns your land.

CF Football WODs:
OHS 5x1: 135,135,135(X),135(X),135
Power Snatch 8x2: 135(2) across sets
Tabata HSPU/CTB Pull ups: 10/10,8/10,7/10,7/10 = 72

OHS are all about trying to find balance on my heels. Weight is not the issue. It has to feel as though I'm just about to fall back onto my ass for these to look right. If I can ever get comfortable in that groove, 185+ would be no problem. When I find it the weight is nothing, any deviation and it's a dump.
