Question of the day- How do you handle nutrition with children? To what degree do your other family members eat like you do? What challenges do you face sticking to a clean diet if other members of your family don't?

The kids do have sandwich bread and pasta sometimes but fill each dish with lots of proteins. Breakfast is the hardest because a bowl of cereal is just so easy. Lota of fruits and nuts as snacks. Only drink water at home. When we go out they can have limited sugary drinks. No desserts in house. Tommy& I don't find it challenging to not eat the foods the kids eat. If were gonna slip it will mostl likely be with wine. The biggest challenge is having enough food in the house! Seems like we go though so many eggs' fruit & meat. Were at the store daily.

Strong work today from you and Larry. Y'all's (is that a word?) OHS looked outstanding. And if you got 14:06, maybe I got 14:11 or so...I don't remember what I wrote on the board...

Lunches are hardest with the kids... still do PB&J but also add yogurt, grapes and crackers. We switched breakfast from cereal to egg on toast or sausage with a banana about 6 mos ago... that was HARD and time consuming, but its worth it. For the MOST part they eat our Paleo dinners, or cheicken and a veggie if we are trying out a crazy recipe. THE HARDEST THING TO STAY AWAY OF THE KIDS FOOD IS THEIR HALLOWEEN CANDY!! Shoulda thrown that stuff away... :)

QOD: My husband's diet consists of pizza, pasta, and rice dishes. Its very hard to see and smell these things in the house. However lucky for me he covers everything in hot sauce and habeneros and spices it all up to the point where no other human could possibly eat it. And he is also quick to tell me something isnt on my diet so it all works out I guess. smelling the pizza two or three times a week is the hardest though! :)

I'm pretty sure you only finished a rep or two behind me.

OHS unbroken was very surprising. I think I only managed 21 in 5 minutes a few weeks ago during a saturday wod.

QOD: Nutrition is easy with our daughter - her coaches started talking nutrition with her a year ago - we reinforce at home and she is crazy aware of what she eats. Some family members criticize that she is TOO concerned...but her dreams require it and she knows it. Hopefully she will help influence her little brother!

Another question - where can I buy flavored fish oil for our 1 year old?
