Love the pic! You should have just had all three people stand on top of you then you wouldn't have had to put away the weights.

Thank you SOO much to everyone who has signed up to take the Jarrett's a meal so far! We have the next two weeks covered (3 meals per week) for them. That is SOOO awesome. I just want to make one last pitch (for now, anyway) to ask you all to please consider taking them a meal. We're hoping to feed them for the entire month of August! OR, if you want to just pick up a giftcard to anywhere or donate cash, I'LL be happy to pick up a meal or giftcard for you and take it to them on your behalf - I have a flexible schedule so it's not a prob!

A couple of people asked me about it last night (THANK YOU BOTH) and the questions were 1)Do they only eat Paleo? The answer is: While they do mostly eat paleo, yes, Amanda told me that they will enjoy anything that we bring to them and they are so appreciative of not having to shop/prepare/cook right now. She has zero energy and needs as much rest as possible. The second question I had was 2) How do I get it to them? Amanda is reachable via text message, and her phone number is on the website next to their address info (link below). Just text her the day before (or morning of) and work out the drop-off time with her. Phil met me in the little cul de sac in front of their gate when I dropped their meal off yesterday and it worked perfectly.

Again, thank you all! I'm like everyone else - I'm so busy and I don't know what I'm doing half the time.... :) When I see a friend in need and going through a hard time, I always think, "I want to do something, but what?" This doesn't seem like much, but it takes an incredible burden off of them while they cope with what's going on right now. They truly appreciate it!

17:44 RX'd, previous time was 2rnds+4 wallballs at 20 min cutoff back in August, so this was a considerable PR.

Rx'd
2rds + 4 @ 20 min

Brain wasn't quite firing afterward, think I posted on the board 1 + 4 at 15 min...
Training for Rocket City Marathon starts this week, 20 weeks to go. Limiting all couplet, triplet and other metcons to 15 mins, except for prescribed 20 min AMRAPS (and except for today :P) Form on squat snatches felt great today. DB's snatch clinic a month ago helped a ton with mental cues today.

Regarding tonight's WOD, if it's as hot as it was yesterday, my lifespan will be highly dependent on the cutoff time!

Scaled to 45# bar this morning, completed in 17:58. Reserves are coming back, but still can't dig very deep.

That photo of Eric was legit! Brady and I were getting a workout just stacking the darn plates on him!

Kristi, I will never forget you and I during that snatch workout we did together... Every time we'd do one we'd drop the bar, look at each other and go, "I don't know what the %^*$# I'm doing! I HAAAATTTEEE the snatch!" LOL! Hate to miss the memories tonight!

Coach Robert: Wanted to thank you publicly for the parking sign and overall rock star treatment. Last 2 weeks have been bitter-sweet: my last promotion, relinquishing a job that I have held for 3 years, and retiring from the Army....something I have invested 26 years of my life in. Thankfully, you get it and your support of Soldiers and their families is awesome!

Folks like you truly make CFHSV a COMMUNITY and not just another box. Thank you my brother!
