Words cannot express how proud we are of Paul McCrary. His dedication, hard work, many sacrifices and natural talent allowed him to accomplish what only the very best in the sport of CrossFit have accomplished. He represented himself, his friends and family, and all of CrossFit Huntsville with the highest of character and integrity. Many do not realize the level of commitment it takes to be among the very best in the world at what you do. Paul has spent years working towards his goals, all the time with the very real possibility that despite his efforts, he may not be able to achieve what he first set out to do. When you consider how many thousands of athletes compete each year, it is truly remarkable to think that Paul was among the top twenty worldwide, and was able to finish the season ninth overall. It is just as impressive and exciting that he came away with an event win at The CrossFit Games, a memory that with stick with us all for a very long time. Paul came into the gym everyday and laid it all on the line. He believed that every WOD was just as important as the next, and he truly never gave less than everything he had in that moment. He certainly embodies the mentality and spirit of a champion and a true competitor. And through it all, he has remained the kind, gentle, down to earth man that we all know and love.

Congratulations Paul on all of your accomplishments! We love you and could not be more proud!

I couldn't have said it better.

We're all so proud of your accomplishments, Paul. And more importantly, as others have said, thanks for always being just you.

Strong work, brother.

Bad to the bone, don't matter what state he's in. Just whippin folks. A true professional who can manage mental clutter(external noise) as good as anyone that I know. He never quit, no matter what was going on. I will never forget his live interview, after his event win. He was very direct and honest, "I'm pretty good at double unders," he thought of others by giving the coaches at CFHSV credit for helping him with the dumbbell snatches, and finally he taught us all that the win, the leaderboard, anything other than the next step in the process didn't matter. Thank you Paul and congratulations to you, Lisa, and the rest of your family and friends.

Doesn't matter if he's competing with the elite of the elite or whippin us mere mortals at CFHSV, Paul is Paul! Humble, kind-hearted, and one of the nicest men you'll ever meet! Paul, this is for you, I know you'll understand: 1 Corinthians Ch.9, verses 20-23

Paul is a living testament to the mantra "if you work hard enough, it's possible" How cool is it that we work out at a gym that sent an athlete to the games? Thanks Misty, Bradley, Heath for being here the past week.
